Funeral services for Maurine V. Olds, age 88, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville, AL with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2015. Mrs. Olds passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Columbus Hospice House. Survivors include: one daughter, Syble Olds Bailey (husband, Wayne) of Columbus, GA; four sons, Vernon Olds (wife, Faye) of Seale, AL, Beverly E. Olds (wife, Cathy) of Newell, AL, Johnny Olds (wife, Linda) of Waleska, GA, and Timothy Olds (wife, Aletha) of Graham, AL; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Willodean Brown of Phenix City, AL, Joyce Johnson of Graham, TX, and Mary Kennedy of Eufaula, AL; two brothers, Clifford McLendon of Clayton, AL and Tommy McLendon of Texasville, AL. Mrs. Olds’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A Barbour County native, Mrs. Olds was born on July 11, 1926, the daughter of James Z. and Annie Belle Heath McLendon. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had been employed with Stephanie Fashions as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie Olds; and her daughter, Mary Glenda Olds.
