Graveside services for Gwendolyn Rainwater Pike, age 79, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Mrs. Pike passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Eudorsey Pike of Roanoke; two sons, Phillip Eudorsey Pike of LaGrange, GA, and Gregory Lee Pike of Marietta, GA; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A long-time Marietta resident, Mrs. Pike was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 23, 1935, the daughter of Harvey Lee and Margaret Baggett Rainwater. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Marietta and worked as a receptionist for Handover Insurance Company in Atlanta. Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Warner Rainwater.
