Earnestine Whitten Williams, age 67, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Noland Hospital in Anniston.
Services will be announced by the family.
Survivors include: her husband, James George Williams of Roanoke; four daughters, Vickie East of Roanoke, Denise Benefield of Fredonia; Brandy Valdez of Georgiana, AL, and Amy Williams of Roanoke; three sons, Rick Valentine of Tampa, FL, Carl Williams of Roanoke, and Timothy Williams of Roanoke; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gail Ashworth of Demopolis, AL; one brother, John Whitten of Valley; several nieces and nephews; and over 200 foster children.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Williams was born on February 6, 1948. She was a member of Roanoke Nazarene Church and had been employed as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ava Carden Whitten; two brothers, Roger Whitten and Raymond Whitten; one grandson, James Barnes; and one nephew, Samuel Ashworth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Randolph County Department of Human Resources.
