Obituary of Jimmy Ray Haynes

Funeral services for Jimmy Ray Haynes, age 59, of Jasper, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church with military graveside honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Mr. Haynes passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at his residence. Survivors include: one daughter, Sabrina Haynes and one sister, Janice Alexander. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Henry, Bobby Holden, Wayne Brown, Jim Brown, Shane Smallwood, and Brian Overton. A Erwin, North Carolina native, Mr. Haynes was born on September 4, 1955, the son of Billy Ray and Runnette Brown Haynes. He was a member of Welcome Home Christian Church and was a retired master sergeant in the United States Air Force where he served during the Gulf War. Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joyce Haynes; and one brother, Richard Wise.
