Obituary of Jimmie Dale Moore

Funeral services for Jimmie Dale Moore, age 72, of Millbrook, will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Whaley and Rev. S.T. Janney officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, May 10, 2015. Mr. Moore passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015, at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Gloria J. Moore of Millbrook; one daughter, Renee Fike (husband, Sterling) of Montgomery; two sons, Jim Moore (wife, Courtney) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Glenn Moore (wife, Sherrie) of Deatsville, AL; seven grandchildren, Dana Golmon, Darin Moore, Doug Moore, Zach Moore, Camille Moore, Jessica Vanlandingham (husband, Robert), and Leslie Sims (husband, Corey); four great-grandchildren, Caysen Moore, Konner Golmon, Kooper Golmon, and Sophia Vanlandingham; and many more nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Darin Moore, Doug Moore, Zach Moore, Marion Staples, Bill Shipp, Mike Pike, and Danny Kingery. Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Kingery, Fancher Norris, Robert Vanlandingham, Corey Sims, and Phillip Waites. A Talladega County native, a resident of Roanoke for most of his life, and a resident of Millbrook since 2004, Mr. Moore was born on January 3, 1943, the son of Jimmy C. and Easter J. Williamson Moore. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had been self-employed as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents.
