Funeral services for Howard Ford Bolt, age 88, of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ralph Nelson and Bro. Charlie Bolt officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, July 10, 2015.
Mr. Bolt passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at his residence.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Simons (husband, John) and Juanita Ussery, both of Roanoke; one son, Jimmy Bolt (wife, Jackie) of Dadeville; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frankie McClain, Matthew McCard, Dustin Smith, Shane Gore, and Joseph Mitchell.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. Bolt was born on March 25, 1927, the son of Chub Washington Bolt and Alice Matilda Clark. He retired from Sims Metal Work as a welder. Mr. Bolt was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arie Inez Bolt; one great-grandchild, Krista Simons; two brothers, James Bolt and Jimmy Bolt; and one sister, Lois Bolt.
