Ralph J. Brooks, age 78, of Five Points, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015, at East Alabama Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Helen Brooks of Five Points; one daughter, Corina Paulsen (husband, Joel) of Williamsburg, VA; one son, Charles Brooks of Five Points; four grandchildren, Thomas Paulsen, Emma Paulsen, Justin Brooks, and Jordan Brooks; one great-grandchild, Weston Hawk Brooks; and two sisters, Ella Ann Brown of Fredonia, AL and Virginia Gasaway of Jacksonville, FL.
An Alamo County native, Mr. Brooks was born on August 13, 1937, the son of James W. and Daisy Column Brooks. He was a Vietnam Army War Veteran and had been employed with Millican as a supervisor in the textile industry. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to one’s favorite charity.
