Betty Sue Cotney Cleveland died peacefully at her home in Wadley on October 29. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jim W. Cleveland, her three sons, Jim W. Cleveland, III (Cindy), William A. Cleveland (Nancy), and John C. Cleveland (Mary Ann), her sister, Pauline Kloeti, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Betty Sue was born October 9, 1929, and lived almost her entire life in Wadley. She was a graduate of Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University), and worked alongside her husband in their family business for many years. She loved her church home, Wadley Baptist Church, and founded and ran the church school program there, touching the young lives of many. She was an avid bridge player and faithful fan of the Auburn University football team. A celebration of her life is set for 2 p.m. on November 5 at Wadley Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wadley Baptist Church, Wadley, AL 36276. Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke, Alabama, in charge of arrangements.
