Graveside services for Jimmy Lee Thomaston, age 78, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at 2:00 PM CST from Veal Methodist Church Cemetery in Ephesus, GA with Rev. Greg Walker officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Mr. Thomaston passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Sudduth (husband, Mickey) of Roanoke; three sons, Mike Thomaston (wife, Judy) of Hogansville, GA, Darren Thomaston of Warsaw, IN, and Larry Keller of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and his special family at LifeChoice Hospice. A Randolph County native, Mr. Thomaston was born on May 28, 1937. He was a member of Veal Methodist Church and had worked at Plant Yates for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sara Jane Thomaston; one daughter, Sylvia Thomaston; one son, Jerry Keller; one sister, Lorelle Thomaston; and four brothers, Doyle, Hiram, Shorty, and Albert Thomaston. Memorials may be floral or the family requests contributions to LifeChoice Hospice, 4455 U.S. Highway 431, Roanoke, AL 36274.
