Funeral services for Ezzie Lee Imogene Tuten, age 90, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016, at 3:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Overton officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Ms. Tuten passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell, GA. Survivors include: one son, Bobby Pilgrim of Roanoke; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three brothers, Denson Dunlap of Roanoke, Ricky Dunlap of Opelika, and Chelsie Dunlap of Oxford. Pallbearers will be Robert Pilgrim, Steve Pilgrim, Kevin Pilgrim, Zach Pilgrim, Kaleb Pilgrim, Kyle Moon, and Kevin Pilgrim, Jr. A Roanoke native, Ms. Tuten was born on December 15, 1925, the daughter of Homer and Seleste Overton Dunlap. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and worked as a weaver at King Mill in Augusta, Georgia, where she lived for 50 years. Ms. Tuten was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Ida Lawson, Lillian Sheppard, Annie Pearl Rice, Lisa Pike, Lenner Crenshaw, and Shirley Rollins; and two brothers, J.B.
