Obituary of Rev. Eugene H. Moore

Funeral services for Rev. Eugene H. Moore, age 71, of Roanoke, formerly of Whitesburg, GA, will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Michael Moore, Rev. Mark Moore, and Rev. Bill Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Highway Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday, January 23, 2017. Mr. Moore passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, at East Alabama Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Baldwin Moore of Roanoke; two sons, Michael Moore (wife, Michele) of Carrollton, GA and Mark Moore (wife, Melissa) of Roanoke; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; one sister, Sandra Horton (husband, Wayne) of Carrollton, GA; and his mother-in-law, Classie "Toad" Baldwin of Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Dennis Moore, Greg Baldwin, William Moore, Larry McDaniel, Allen McDaniel, and Thomas Baldwin. A Coweta County native, Mr. Moore was born on June 27, 1945, the son of Alfred and Ruth Henderson Moore. He was Methodist by faith and had worked for James Rivers as a printing press operator. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Billy and Jerry Moore.
