Funeral services for Julia Mae Keeble Parrish, age 87, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Vicki Windsor, Wayne Windsor, and Scott Buckner officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Wadley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Mrs. Parrish passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017, at her residence. Survivors include: three daughters, Delores Smith (husband, Bill) of Robertsdale, AL, Melissa Parrish of Roanoke, and Barbette Driver of Houston, TX; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jody Driver, Josh Nix, Trae Nix, Parrish Tobin, Austin Smith, Tommy Pool, Jonathan Smith, and Wayne Windsor. Honorary pallbearer will be Kaisen Nix. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Parrish was born on May 19, 1929, the daughter of Robert Pate and Sally Mae Dollar Keeble. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Roanoke and worked as an insurance agent for Old Southern. Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert Parrish; two great-grandchildren, Alyissa and Alexus Fisher; three brothers, Frank Keeble, Edwin Keeble, and Billy Keeble; and three sisters, Willene Schrimpshire, Mazelle Parris, and Lillian Keeble.
