Funeral services for Madison Kate Newsome, infant, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, before services begin.
Madison passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include her parents, Melissa Duck Dobbs and Mitchell Lee Newsome of Roanoke; paternal grandmother, Kim (husband, Ricky) Chambers of North Carolina; paternal great-grandparents, Mike and Nancy Newsome of Roanoke; maternal grandparents, Jeffery L and Debra D. Duck of Roanoke; maternal great-grandmother, Elma Dobbs of Birmingham; two brothers, Mason Johnson and Logan Newsome; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Roanoke resident, Madison was born in Opelika, Alabama, on December 29, 2016.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
