Obituary of Ford Cavender

Graveside services for Ford Cavender, age 92, of LaGrange, will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at 11:00 AM CST from Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Cavender passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, GA. Survivors include: one son, Dennis Cavender (wife, Pam) of LaGrange; two grandchildren, Clint Cavender of Yorktown, VA and John Zachry or LaGrange; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Chloe Cavender, both of Yorktown, VA. A Randolph County native, Mr. Cavender was born on September 12, 1924, the son of Emory and Macy Dunson Cavender. He was a member of Cedar Creek Community Church and worked as an electrician at Handley Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Mickle Cavender; daughter, Nancy Zachry; sisters, Rosann Cavender and Louise Robinson; and brothers, Charles Cavender and Gordon Cavender.
