Obituary of Eudene Ramsey Whaley

Graveside services for Eudene Ramsey Whaley, age 76, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Whaley and Rev. Stanley Yarbrough officiating with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to services on Sunday.

Mrs. Whaley passed away on August 26, 2017 at her residence.

Survivors include one sister, Audrey Butts; caregiver and niece, Margie Johnson (Benji); nieces, Lynn Ledbetter and Rebecca Henderson (Nathan); nephew, Ryan Spradlin; great-nieces, Jessica Pike and Hannah Bradley (Xander); great-nephews, Clay Pike and Joshua Rollins; great-great-niece, Charleigh Yates; and great-great-nephew, Kayden Pike.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Johnson, Justin Johnson, Nick Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Joshua Rollins, and Xander Bradley.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Whaley was born on February 7, 1941, the daughter of Robert Lee and Ruby Mae Hill Ramsey. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress at Palm Beach and Amoco.  She also worked as a beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Whaley; brother, Jimmy Ramsey; and sister, Joyce Spradlin.
