Obituary of Macie Brand Hester

Funeral services for Macie Brand Hester, age 87, of Villa Rica, GA, formerly of Randolph County, will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Tanner officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday.

Mrs. Hester passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Pine Knoll Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie M. Kuhn (husband, Glenn) of Villa Rica, GA and Wanda J. Privett (husband, James David) of Jonesboro, GA; and one sister, Doris Griffin of Columbus, GA.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Hester was born on February 15, 1930, the daughter of Walter and Sally Mitchum Brand. She was Baptist by faith and had worked for Handley Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland Hester; one son, Mark P. Hester; and one sister, Sara Whaley.
