Dear Jean, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and memories of your life with Raymond across the years. I wish Mark and I could have shared them in person with the two of you, from the birth of your first granddaughter to the joys of your new life on the farm. Throughout Raymond's illness, you also shared your faith and his, a truly inspirational story of the love for God and for one another. Cousin Raymond has been a part of my entire life. Born just three years apart, he was the big boy I looked up to when we both visited his grandparents farm in Roanoke. As a little city girl (even though I was born in Roanoke), I was a bit intimidated how he was so comfortable around all the animals. He would let me play with the barn cats. Even then I felt his inner strength and sensed he already knew who he was: someone you could count on. Years would go by without being together and yet that doesn’t make his loss any less in my life. Hugging Jean and their babies (Neal, Page, and Peyton) in my heart. ❤️
