Obituary of Shirley Huey Gantt
Funeral services for Shirley Huey Gantt, age 82, of Lawrenceville, GA., will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2018.
Ms. Gantt passed away on October 13, 2018 at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Gantt Tanner (Mark) of Atlanta, GA; two sons, Chris Gantt (Joan) of Decatur, GA., Craig Gantt of Winder, GA.; four grandchildren, Krista Walker, Amanda Tanner, Landon Gantt and Pressley Gantt.
Pallbearers will be Landon Gantt, Andrew Walker, Chris Gantt, Craig Gantt, Mark Tanner and Jack Ryer.
A former resident of Randolph County, Ms. Gantt was born on January 15, 1936, the daughter of Luke Huey and Lillie Mae Simonton Huey. She graduated from Handley High School in 1954 and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Helen Hood.
