Obituary of Celia Ann Whaley
Funeral services for Celia Ann Whaley, age 86, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, April 22, 2021.
Mrs. Whaley passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include: one daughter, Vicki Jean Young of Opelika; two sons, Felix Charles Whaley and James Ronald Whaley, both of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rob Whaley, Russ Whaley, Nick Whaley, Anthony Gosdin, Bobby Kirby, and Rich Whaley.
A Roanoke native, Mrs. Whaley was born on December 6, 1934, the daughter of James Welcome and Ruby Lee Burgess Cosper. She was a member of Cornerstone Church and was a housewife. Mrs. Whaley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hope Whaley; and her son-in-law, Steve Young.
