Obituary of Sondra Wilson
Funeral services for Sondra Wilson, age 62, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel in Roanoke with Bro. Dennis Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, February 9th.
Mrs. Wilson passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include: one daughter, Connie Arrington of Roanoke; two sons, Scotty Wilson of Roanoke and Jonathan Wilson (Tiffany) of Phenix City; ten grandchildren, Brittany Wilson, Shane Arrington, Jessica Wilson, Peyton Arrington, Curtis Wilson, Tye Arrington, Kaylee Wilson, Triston Arrington, Levi Wilson, and Nathan Arrington; two great-grandchildren, Raelynne Morrison and Riverlynn Arrington, and three great-grandchildren on the way.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Wilson, Shane Arrington, Tye Arrington, Triston Arrington, Brent Wilson, Jesse Wood, Ryan Wood, and Josh Hendricks. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Wilson and Nathan Arrington.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Wilson was born on December 4, 1962, the daughter of Connie Ruth Nichols. She was a member of Mt Zion Christian Church and had worked as a waitress at Western Sizzlin’ and a CNA at Traylor’s Nursing Home and Rosser’s Nursing Home. She loved cutting up with her family and making them laugh. Mrs. Wilson adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved her little outings to the casino.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Ricky Curtis Wilson.
