
Obituary of Kelly Elaine Watts
Funeral services for Kelly Elaine Watts, age 46, of Roanoke, will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel in Roanoke with Bro. Dennis Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, February 10th.
Miss Watts passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Wellstar Kennestone in Marietta.
Survivors include: two sons, Blake Smith (Grace Osborne) and Hunter Smith; one daughter, Anna Smith; fiancé, Jonathan Smith; grandchildren, Kingston Smith, Cameron Boggs, Arianna Demarco, and one on the way, Maveryk Smith; parents, Ray and Doris Staples; sister, Tracy Galloup (Matt); brother, Dusty Staples (Courtney); nieces and nephews: Chance Rowe, Stephanie Barrett, Blakely Jones, Walker Cooper and Mason Ray Staples; grandmother, Eileen Watts; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Blake Smith, Dusty Staples, Hunter Smith, Trent Williams, Tevin Smith, and Sean Michaels. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Staples.
A Randolph County native, Miss Watts was born on December 1, 1978, the daughter of John Wesley Watts and Doris Burgess Staples and Ray Staples. She attended Faith Baptist Church and had been employed at Jon Boys and Wal-Mart. She was the manager of Huddle House for 15 years. Kelly loved her grandbabies, nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with her family, especially at cookouts. She always wanted to help others, and always had a smile on her face. Kelly enjoyed listening to music, watching true crime shows, and lifetime movies.
Miss Watts was preceded in death by her father; nephew, A.J. Carnes; grandparents, Amos Jay Burgess, Minnie Farrar (James), Lillie Clark and Willard Watts.
The family asks that everyone wear green, Kelly’s favorite color, to her service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Quattlebaum Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
