Obituary of Sherry Fargason Roberts
A celebration of life for Sherry Fargason Roberts, age 76, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Family Life Center of the Roanoke First Methodist Church. The service will be conducted by Bro. Tyler Worthy and hosted by her family.
The family will receive friends at the Family Life Center after services until 8:00 PM.
Ms. Roberts passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at her residence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Lesley Roberts Harper (Ben) of Mobile and Courtney Roberts Diepenbrock (Kevin) of Eggleston, VA; two grandchildren, Vik Arbaczauskas and Katharine Arbaczauskas; and one sister, Patsy Fargason of Gainesville, GA.
A Gainesville, Georgia native, Ms. Roberts was born on November 30, 1948, the daughter of William Leslie Fargason, Sr., and Maurice Evelyn Harrison Fargason. She was a member of the Roanoke First Methodist Church and was a teacher for over 40 years. Ms. Roberts loved to read and enjoyed going to the beach with her friends. She also adored her grandchildren and loved being a teacher. Ms. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ryan Spencer Roberts; and a brother, William Leslie Fargason, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations go to the Roanoke First Methodist Church.
