Funeral services for Charlie Scott Boyd, age 84, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 12 noon at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Lonnie Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Mr. Boyd passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Leevonia Patillo Boyd of Roanoke; one son, Dewaren Boyd of Jasper, AL; two sisters, Dasie Boyd of Tennessee and Nora Askew of Lafayette, AL; and one brother, James Boyd of Wadley.

Pallbearers will be David Harmon, Darryl Harmon, Tony Mosley, Albert Holloway, Richard Cohler, and Jackie Pott.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Boyd was born on January 1, 1941, the son of Booker T. and Bertha Cameron Boyd.  He worked in land management and the timber industry for Sam Wylie before his retirement.   Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents.
