Obituary of Norma Eleanor Carson
Norma Eleanor Carson, age 80, of Roanoke passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Traylor’s Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke.
Survivors include her children, Phillip Moncus of LaGrange, GA, Phyllis Dalton (Bobby) of Roanoke, AL, Sharron Sams of Five Points, AL, and Kevin Moncus of Huntsville, AL; eight grandchildren, John Moncus, Amanda Moncus, Brandy Melton, Justin Dalton, Logan Pitts, Chase Sams, Hunter Moncus, and Dakota Moncus; one great-grandchild, Beau Sams; and one sister, Wilma Anderson of LaGrange, GA.
A Woodland native, Ms. Carson was born on October 24, 1944, the daughter of Jodie and Bessie Stevens Parmer. She was Baptist by faith and worked as a carpet inspector for Milliken. She loved her dogs very much. Ms. Carson was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leroy Parmer; and one sister, Winnie Boyd.
