
Obituary of Charlotte Ann Potts
Funeral services for Charlotte Ann Potts, age 90, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Cummings and Bro. Chuck Potts officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday before services begin.
Mrs. Potts passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.
Survivors include: one daughter, Melinda Busbin of Roanoke; three sons, Jackie Potts (Mary), Mike Potts (Kathy), and Chuck Potts (Angie), all of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Mollie McRay (Myles), Joe Potts (Yvette), Will Potts (Grace Howe), Chris Potts, Nick Potts (Auburn), Graycee Holcombe (Dalton), Makala Overton (Mason, and Cash Busbin; 14 great-grandchildren; Jaci Potts, Henley Potts, Jack Potts, Coye Potts, Colton Potts, R. J. Potts, Bowen Potts, McKenleigh Prince, Kylie Holcombe, Raelynn Holcombe, Remington Holcombe, Kolson Holcombe, Grayson Holcombe, and Beau Overton; three great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden Potts, Taylin Floyd, and Bryce Floyd; and a brother, Billy Bennett (Joann).
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Potts’ grandsons, Chris Potts, Joe Potts, Nick Potts, Will Potts, Cash Busbin, Coye Potts, and Colton Potts.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Potts was born on December 21, 1934, the daughter of Eudorus “Doc” and Alma Prather Bennett. She was a member of Grace & Mercy Baptist Church and worked as a presser for Palm Beach and then owned the craft shop Charlotte’s Web. Mrs. Potts loved making flowers and crafts and she loved shopping and cooking for her family. She enjoyed talking on the phone and traveling and was a wonderful caregiver. Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oliver Jackson “Jack” Potts; one sister, Frances Morris; and one brother and sister-in-law, James and Johanna Bennett.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Living Waters Bible Church or Trinity Baptist Church.
