Obituary of Betty Jack Harper

Graveside services Betty Jack Harper, age 94, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Forest Home Church Cemetery with Bro. Fred Flowers officiating.  Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In the event of inclement weather, funeral service will be held at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM on Monday before services begin.

Mrs. Harper passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Traylor’s Retirement Community.

Survivors include two sons, David Harper and Tim Harper, both of Roanoke; one sister, June Sikes Baldwin; one brother, Tommy Nelson (Barbara); and sister-in-law, Peggy Nelson.

Pallbearers will be David Harper and Danny Pike.

Mrs. Harper was born on February 24, 1931, the daughter of Willie Jack and Betty Lou McCain Sikes.  She was a member of Souls Harbor Church and had worked as a caretaker.  She was preceded in death by husband, Walter Lee Harper; son, Jackie Alan Harper; daughter, Carol Harper; parents; and brother, Larry Nelson.

Memorials may be floral.
