
Obituary of Marjorie K Alexander
Funeral services for Marjorie K. Alexander, age 86, of Wadley will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Brian Steen and Bro. Richie Farrow officiating. Burial will follow at Forrester’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 PM on Monday before services begin.
Mrs. Alexander passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Chapman Healthcare Center in Alexander City, Alabama.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Grover Alexander of Wadley; one daughter, Patsy Farr (Paul Mathis) of Alex City; two sons, Ronnie Hester (Mannie) of Wadley and Paul Hester (Cammie) of Lafayette; nine grandchildren, Monica Walker (Jason), Regina Smith (Brian), Crystal Rushton (Scottie), Brandon Hester, Kristi Harrison (Patrick), Cody Farr (Breanne), Zack Hester (Amber), Daniel Losh (Audrey), and Breanna Hester (Greg Cochran); 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Rebecca Caldwell; and two sisters-in-law, Ethel Broach and Irene Ward (Roger) of Dadeville.
Pallbearers will be Zane Walker, Dylan Walker, Kobe Rushton, Klayton Rushton, Jason Walker, Cody Farr, Zach Hester, and Brandon Hester. Daniel Losh will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Alexander was born on June 2, 1938, the daughter of Bowdon and Mary Headrick Knight. She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for West Point Pepperell. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Penny Hester; one sister; and a brother-in-law, Neil Caldwell.
