Funeral services for Dorothy Pinkard, age 96, of Centre, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ken Brooks and Bro. Bill Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 – 4:00 PM on Monday before services begin.

Ms. Pinkard passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Cherokee County Health & Rehab in Centre, Alabama.

Survivors include: three daughters, Dale Heistand (Brad) of Franklin, GA, Tammy Boggus (Jimmy) of Wedowee, and Evelyn Stewart (Larry) of Roanoke; one son, David Barfield (Teresa) of Roanoke; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jake Boggus, D. J. Barfield, Larry Wayne Stewart, Jr., Jarrod Bradfield, Kaysen Boggus and Brad Heistand. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Dean and Cody Roberts.

A Talladega native, Ms. Pinkard was born on February 14, 1929.  She was a member of Handley Avenue Church of God and was a mill worker.  Ms. Pinkard was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Edna Dean; and a son, Harold Barfield.
