
Obituary of Paul Edward Dugger
Funeral services for Paul Edward Dugger, age 81, of Roanoke, formerly of Mountain City, TN, will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dennis Meeks officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral from 1:00-2:00 pm on Friday before services begin.
Mr. Dugger passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include: his wife, Connie Gay Dugger; daughter, Jenny Young (Jeff) of Roanoke; son, Tim Dugger (Tara) of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Chris Brooks and Paul Brooks; three great-grandchildren, Raighnlynn Grace Milam, Camdyn James Brooks and Christopher Grayson Brooks; and one sister, Beverly Garland (David) of Knoxville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Paul Brooks, Chris Brooks and Jeff Young.
Mr. Dugger was born on August 23, 1943, the son of Paul L. and Virginia Mae Slemp Dugger. He was Christian by faith and spent his career as a long-haul truck driver for several companies, including Bassett Bedding and Ryder. Mr. Dugger loved bass fishing, especially in his boat on Lake Wedowee. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and everything Harley Davidson. Mr. Dugger was an avid Alabama fan, Roll Tide; he also enjoyed going to NASCAR races. He will be remembered as a family man who adored his children and grandchildren. Mr. Dugger was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Emma Karen Dugger; brothers, Kenny, Doug, Steve and Richard Dugger.
