Funeral services for Ellen Daughtrey Ferrell, age 88, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Carl Rider and Joyce West officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Sunday before services begin.

Mrs. Ferrell passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Traylor’s Retirement Community in Roanoke.

Survivors include: one daughter, Cathy Bryant (Wade) of Roanoke; one son, Gene Ferrell (Tammy) of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Ashley Bryant of Roanoke, Cameron Ferrell of LaGrange, and Lindsey Hinojosa of Virginia; one great-granddaughter, Everly Hinojosa; and one sister, Mae Martin (Gene) of Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Ferrell, Joseph Ferrell, Ray Staples, Chester Daughtrey, Wayne Kirby, and David Jeter.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Ferrell was born on January 24, 1937, the daughter of Alan and Eula Mae Martin Daughtrey.  She was a member of Standing Rock Assembly of God and worked as a manager for Top Dollar.  Mrs. Ferrell enjoyed talking to family and friends on the telephone and loved to read.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olin Ferrell; one brother Howell Daughtrey; and two sisters, Janice Hodges and Joyce Staples.

Memorials may be floral.
