Obituary of Virginia Nell Gore West
Funeral services for Virginia Nell Gore West, age 64, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Friday before services begin.
Mrs. West passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at her residence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Christena Hester (Jeff), Sherry Long, both of Roanoke; one son, Terry West (Angela) of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Perry (Danny) and Rosa Cox (Thomas), both of Palmetto, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
A Florida native, Mrs. West was born on January 10, 1961, the daughter of James and Peggy Hawkins Gore. She was Baptist by faith and worked in the healthcare industry. Mrs. West was a very hard worker and a loving wife, mother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed making diamond paintings in her spare time. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terry Gene West, Sr.; and siblings, Martha Bently, Carolyn Kirkland, and James Gore, Jr.
