Obituary of Larry "Pete" James Brown
Graveside services for Larry “Pete” James Brown, age 80, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Milltown Cemetery with Bro. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Williams Brown of Roanoke; two sons, Scott Brown of Five Points and Chris Brown (Angie) of Wadley; six grandchildren, Scotty Lee Brown, Joshua Shane Brown, Justin Cody Brown, Amanda Paige Brown, Dalton Brown, and Dakota Brown; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Brown, Dakota Brown, Justin Brown and Shane Brown.
Mr. Brown was born on September 17, 1944, the son of Hurley James Brown and Vera May Clark Brown. He was a member of North Main Congregational Christian Church and had been self-employed as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents.
