Graveside memorial services for Roger Barfield, age 78, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Keith Benefield and Bro. Mike Brewer officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Barfield passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at his home.

Survivors include: his daughter, Kristy Stone Tobin (Parrish Tobin) of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Bailey Sarah Lanning (Blake) of Lexington, N.C. and Chelley Gianna Glass of Roanoke; and a brother, Ken Staples (Gail) of LaGrange, GA.

Mr. Barfield was born on February 2, 1947, the son of Kenneth Joe and Sarah Henry Staples. He was Christian by faith and had attended Midway Full Gospel Church. Mr. Barfield proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to retirement, he had worked as a machinist at several places, including General Motors and LaGrange Molding. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Matthew Wayne Glass and William Trae Anthony; and one sister, Janice Parker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Midway Full Gospel Church.
