Graveside services for Sarah Frances Black Pinkard, age 92, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery with Bro. Stoney Halsey officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Pinkard passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Alexander City.

Survivors include: two daughters, Angie Pinkard Key (Steve) of Woodland and Donna Pinkard of Roanoke; and two grandchildren, Brittany Key and Blake Key.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Pinkard was born on March 4, 1933, the daughter of William Esker and Velma Gertrude Morris Black.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church and worked as a self-employed bookkeeper.  Mrs. Pinkard loved flowers and the outdoors and took pride in cutting her grass on her zero-turn mower.  She also enjoyed playing the piano.  Mrs. Pinkard was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald R. Pinkard.
