Graveside services for Roy Holloway, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Elton Overton officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr.  Holloway passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at his son’s residence.

Survivors include: two sons, Donald R. Holloway (Karen Elaine) of Opelika and Steve Holloway (Leigh) of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Chris Porter, Nicole (Sissy) Nixon, Brett Holloway, Ryan Holloway, Ashley Holloway, Adam Holloway, Cody Holloway, and Jacob Holloway; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Ferguson and Thelma Hardy, both of LaGrange, and Mary Alsabrook of Franklin; one brother, Robert Holloway of Franklin.

Pallbearers will be Chris Porter, Brett Holloway, Ryan Holloway, Colby Porter, Jacob Holloway, and Cody Holloway.

Mr. Holloway was born on June 1, 1939, the son of James Robert Holloway and Leola Wright Holloway.  He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church where he served as the song leader. He had also worked as a carpenter for J. Wayne Miller Construction. Mr. Holloway loved gospel singing and worshipping the Lord. Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dora L. Holloway; one daughter, Donna Holloway; two brothers, Burl Holloway and Tommy Holloway; two sisters, Jimmie Rowe and Virginia Gladney.
