Memorial services for Joyce Ann Brand, age 81, of Wadley will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Bro. Richie Farrow and Bro. Alan Hurst officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Brand passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Brown Nursing Home in Alexander City, Alabama.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Brand of Wadley; two daughters, Kathy Bugg (Alan) of Auburn and Pam Freeman (Wayne Thomas) of Alexander City; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Terry Williams (JaneAnn) of Newnan.

A Clay County native, Mrs. Brand was born on November 26, 1943, the daughter of Roy and Laverne Blanks Williams.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and worked as a paramedic for East Alabama Ambulance Service.  Mrs. Brand was preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandchild, Robert “Eddie” Edward Bugg; and one sister, Pat Denney.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to the Mount Olive Cemetery Fund.
