Q: What will you miss most about Tony?
A: Tony was a big help to me as I was starting our tree farm. He was always quick to help me with his knowledge and experience. He knew I was a beginner, yet he never talked down to me and would always listen to my ideas, even if he had to educate me later. In that way he was sort of a mentor to me, and I'll always remember him kindly for that.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
