Funeral services for Alvin McKee, age 72, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, November 16th, at 2:00 pm at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Cleve Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday before services begin.

Mr. McKee passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his home.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda McKee; two daughters, Wanda Moore (Cleve) and Lisa Shelnutt (Thomas); one son, Chris McKee; grandchildren, Megan Moore, Kacey Shelnutt, Lilly-Kate McKee and Evan McKee; one brother, Calvin McKee; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Shelnutt, Ben Allen, Wade Oneal, Mark Webb, Cody McCollum, and Luke Alsop. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris McKee and Evan McKee.

Mr. McKee was born on January 17, 1953, the son of James McKee and Gaither Harmon Cofield.  He was a member of Hilyer Baptist Church and retired from Candlewick. Mr. McKee was an avid gun collector, and he was known to stockpile ammunition. He also loved watching westerns and wrestling.  Mr. McKee was preceded in death by his parents James McKee and Gaither Harmon Cofield; brother, Danny McKee; and grandson, Cody Shelnutt.
