Funeral services for Nancy Joyce Foster Hicks, age 89, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Stanley Yarbrough and Bro. Robbie Hicks officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday before services begin.

Mrs. Hicks passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Wellstar West GA Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include: two daughters, Dianna Morrison (Ken) and Elaine Slay (Adam), both of Roanoke; two sons, Ken Hicks (Colleen) of Wedowee and Robbie Hicks (Lisa) of Gladewater, TX; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Zach Hicks, Ben Hicks, Luke Hicks, Neil Hicks, Chase Adamson, and Chans Morrison.

A Rock Mills native, Mrs. Hicks was born on May 3, 1936, the daughter of Wilner Eugene and Mary Frances Crowder Foster.  She was a member of Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Church and worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach.  Mrs. Hicks loved her family, and she loved to sew and read.  She enjoyed playing games, traveling, and the mountains.  Mrs. Hicks loved Alabama football and the Dallas Cowboys.  Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kline Hicks; a daughter, Rose Marie Hicks; one grandson, Christopher Ryan Adamson; and siblings, Rev. Franklin Foster, Sr., and Lamar Foster.

Memorials may be floral or Nancy wanted people to treat their families to a night out and a good meal in her memory.
