Funeral services for Winston F. Henderson, age 81, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Lee officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11:00 AM on Saturday before services begin.

Mr. Henderson passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Burdette Henderson of Roanoke; two children, Conya Henderson Wiseman (Glenn) of Fredericksburg, TX, and Wade Henderson (Kelly) of Opelika; two step-children, Christina Capps of Daviston and John Capps, III (Kim) of Opelika; one grandchild, Clay Wiseman (Kristen); two great-grandchildren, Macie Wiseman and Rylan Wiseman; and three step-grandchildren, Logan Ward, Lexi Ward, and Campbell Capps.

Pallbearers will be Harold Harmon, Edward Harris, Terry Lee, Hollis Lee, Clay Wiseman, and Dean Mask.

Born on October 9, 1944, Mr. Henderson is the son of Clay and Christine Jones Henderson.  He was a member of New Hope Congregational Christian Church and served in the National Guard.  Mr. Henderson was retired from Uniroyal Tires and also owned his own business, Henderson’s Grocery.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking, and in his  younger days, he enjoyed drag racing. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Ray.
