Memorial services for Judy Ann Swanson, age 79, of Five Points will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday, March 6.

Ms. Swanson passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Survivors include her partner, Randy Vinson; her children, Larry “Smurf” Lowery (Sandy), Gary Wayne Lowery, Misty Mitchell (Timmy), and Tina Bowen (Clete); grandchildren, Misty Lowery, Shannon Doughtie, Tina Gunter, Josh McVicker, Courtney Tucker, Colby Lowery, Meagan Lowery, Justin Bowen (Lauren Ware), and Mallory Mitchell; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Rush; and one brother-in-law, Ronnie Vinson.

Ms. Swanson was born in Talladega, Alabama, on September 18, 1946, the daughter of John Rohl and Mattie Vaudell Costley Garrett Rohl.  She worked as a weaver at Interface.  Ms. Swanson loved to fish, read, and go to the flea market.  She enjoyed working out at the REC center and loved to travel.  Christmas was her favorite time of year and she loved setting up her decorations and listening to Christmas music.  Ms. Swanson was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Glenda and Peggy; and brother, Jerry.
