Graveside services for John Morgan Hester, age 98, of LaGrange, will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Pastor Steven Cheek officiating. 

Mr. Hester passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Fellowship Hillside in LaGrange, GA.

Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia McBride (John) of Shelby, NC; two sons, Thomas Edward Hester (Carol) of Frisco, TX, and Gary Hester of LaGrange, GA; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A Woodland native, Mr. Hester was born on March 31, 1927, the son of Hugh and Minnie Richardson Hester.  He was a member of East Vernon Baptist Church, was a World War II Army veteran, and worked 30 years for the Fish and Wildlife Service.  Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ann Stitt Hester; one son, John M. Hester, Jr.; a granddaughter, Sara Hester; five sisters; and six brothers.
