Funeral services for Fay Spears Stephens, age 89, of Roanoke, will be held      at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with        Rev. Marty Dunlap and Rev. Mike Brewer officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 4th.

Mrs. Stephens passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Dunlap (Marty) of Roanoke; one son, Chip Stephens (Rebecca) of Ephesus, Ga.; grandson, Chris Mauldin (Jennifer); granddaughter, Tabitha Chappell (Chuck); great-grandchildren, Dylan Mauldin, Cody Mauldin (Ana), Karlee Smith (Roy); great-great-grandchildren, Max Smith (arriving in July), Ansleigh Mauldin, Declan Mauldin, Rory Mauldin; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Roy Smith, Chuck Chappell, Forrest Sorrells, Cody Mauldin, Chip Stephens, and Chris Mauldin.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Stephens was born on March 5, 1937, the daughter of Leon and Lou Mindy McDaniel Spears.  She was a homemaker and a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Adral “Steve” Stephens; a son, Dewayne Stephens; three sisters and two brothers.
