Funeral services for Virginia Windsor, age 88, of Wadley will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jon Tal Murphree and Bro. Randy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow at Forrester’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday before services begin.

Mrs. Windsor passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Piedmont Columbus Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Windsor; one daughter, Alecia Lockwood (Shawn) of Wadley; one son, Tommy Windsor of Wadley; and one grandchild, Shanna Lockwood.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Heard, Cain Heard, Buck Steeley, David Harmon, Darryl Harmon, and Kenny Denman.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Windsor was born on September 26, 1937, the daughter of Acie and Willie Abbott May.  She was a member of Five Points Methodist Church and worked as an ER clerk for Randolph County Hospital.  Mrs. Windsor enjoyed tending to her flowers and doting on her cat, Cody. She had a generous spirit and a lively way about her, finding joy in caring for others and treating those around her whenever she had the chance. Mrs. Windsor was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, and two brothers.
