Funeral services for Linda Fincher Thomas, age 81, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry McDaniel, Bro. Chuck Potts, and Bro. David Gresham officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-9:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Mrs. Thomas passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Florida.

Survivors include: three daughters, Melinda Rivera (Mike) of Clermont, FL, Alison White (Mike) and Denise White (Dan), both of Wedowee; one son, Daryl Thomas of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Stacey, Angie, Lori, and Sherri.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Norred, Casey Hester, Mike Owens, Phillip Murphy, Colton Murphy, Bert Prescott, Chuck Norred, and Jamie Norred.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Thomas was born on April 15, 1945, the daughter of James Barner and Artie Brown Fincher.  She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and worked as a sales clerk at Mansour’s, JCPenney, and Cato’s.  She also worked as a substitute teacher for Roanoke City and Randolph County School Systems.  Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Roger Thomas; sisters, Voncille Cummings (Gene), Vernette Smith (Dudley), Barbara Blackmon (BJ), and Norma Farrar (Smokey); and a brother, Donnie Fincher.
