Funeral services for Harold Green Wilson, age 85, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, July 3 at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 2.
Mr. Wilson passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Traylor’s in Roanoke.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Seymour Wilson; children, Joey Wilson, Jeff Wilson, and Jill Puckett; son-in-law, Larry Wayne Puckett, Jr.; grandchildren, Daniel Puckett and Olivia Puckett; step-grandchildren, Macy Puckett Hancock and Larry Wayne Puckett, III (Trey) and their children Allie Puckett, TC Jacobs, Landon Puckett, and Layla Smith; sister, Judy Ledford; brother-in-law, Tim Seymour (Cindy); nieces, Nancy Gharahmani and Sally Seymour; nephews, Randy Hester, Mark Potts, Casey Ledford, Kevin Ledford, and Kevin Seymour; and several cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Reza Ghahramani, Cal Green, Chad Green, Kevin Ledford, Mark Potts, and Kevin Seymour.
Mr. Wilson was a member and deacon of Forest Home Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. He owned and operated Wilson’s Store in the Springfield community and Wilson’s Service Center in Roanoke along with his farm where he spent many hours taking care of his cows and the land. Until his last days, he never stopped working.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Cornelia Hester and Margaret Sossoman; niece, Karen Hester and nephew, Ryan Seymour.
