Funeral services for Willardean Kirby Martin, age 83, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, July 6th at 3:00pm at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marty Dunlap officiating.  Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 5th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Mrs. Martin passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2026, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include: one daughter, Davina Storey (Phillip) of Palmetto, GA; two grandchildren, Alice Christina Thompson of Paulding Co., GA, and John Paul Lenox Saling of Riverdale, GA; four great-grandchildren, Desja Meadows, Brianna McKinney, Elijah Thompson, and Kylee Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Robert Barnett, James Kelley, Anthony Thompson, Jeff Kirby, and Chris Kirby.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Martin was born on February 8, 1943. She was a member of Union Hill Church and was retired from Lockheed Martin.  Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Louie Lenn Martin; brother, Dewey Kirby; and sisters, Dora Elswick and Othel Draper.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
