Funeral services for Ricky Cummings, age 63, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Whaley, Bro. Nance Bishop, Bro. Chuck Potts, Bro. Stoney Halsey and Bro. Jamie Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 11, from 4:00-8:00 PM.

Mr. Cummings passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, in Roanoke.

Survivors include: his wife, Sara Huddleston Cummings of Roanoke; two daughters, Tiffine Cummings and Elizabeth Cummings; one son, Rocco Romeo; four grandchildren, Chance Cummings, Cameron Asbell, Sophie Asbell and Sadie Asbell; two sisters, Delilah Fetner (Jimmy) and Susan Murphy (Mark); one brother, Bill Cummings; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Chance Cummings, Cameron Asbell, Rylee Cummings, Jeff Fetner, Brody Yarbrough and Ty Baldwin. Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews, David Cummings, Steve Cummings, Jimmy Fetner, Jr., John Fetner, Michael Overton, Randy Yarbrough, Timmy Yarbrough, Roy Cummings, Randy Cummings, Phil Nations, Jimmy Boyd, Tim Boyd, Chris Burk, Eric Allen and Sam Harris.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Cummings was born on February 17, 1963, the son of Thomas Rufus “Bud” and Hilda Prather Cummings. He was Christian by faith and served as pastor of Corinth Christian Church for 25 years and for 5 years at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Ricky’s greatest joy in life was his family; he adored his children and grandchildren. Many around Roanoke will remember Bro. Ricky as being the “Wing Man” for the past 11 years. He enjoyed collecting pens and coins and always looked forward to his family vacations.  Ricky had a servant’s heart and will be missed by all who knew him.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ozeal Nations, Rose Cummings (infant) and Becky Boyd; six brothers, Calvin Cummings, T.A. Cummings, Wilson Cummings, Gene Cummings, Buddie Cummings and Durell Burk; mother-in-law, Irene Huddleston; and brother-in-law, John Huddleston.

Memorials may be floral or the donations may be made to Corinth Christian Church (319 College St., Roanoke, AL 36274).
