Graveside funeral services for Ricky Whaley, age 66, of Wedowee, will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Cavers Grove Church Cemetery Bro. Kevin Whaley and Bro. Charlie Will Whaley with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon – 1:30 PM before services begin on Tuesday.

Mr. Whaley passed away at his home on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Survivors include: his wife, Debbie Howell Whaley; daughter, Jade Whaley; son, Cory Whaley; grandson, Dallas Whaley; brother, Rex Whaley (Tonya); stepmother, Judy Whaley; four stepchildren,    Josh Hamby (Misty), Leah Betts (Brandon), Adam Conrad (Ali) and Caleb Conrad (Madi); and 7 step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Hamby, Brandon Betts, Adam Conrad, Caleb Conrad, Jason Stephens and Jeff Vice.

Mr. Whaley was born on December 9, 1959, the son of James Cleo and Katie Bell Whaley. He spent his working career as a carpet manufacturer. Mr. Whaley enjoyed dancing, and hunting for treasures at thrift stores and garage sales. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jane Boyd Whaley and a brother, Buster Whaley.
