Graveside services for Sherry Yarbrough, age 79, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Steve Bryan officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Mrs. Yarbrough passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her residence.

Survivors include: one son, Chris Wood (Ashley); and two stepchildren, Tanya Teague and Mandel Yarbrough.

Born in West Point, Georgia, Mrs. Yarbrough is the daughter of Brady Talley and Wanda Lashley Clack.  She was Christian by faith and a graduate of Handley High School and the Southern Cresent Career Institute.  Mrs. Yarbrough worked as a waitress at The Galley in Roanoke, where she met Ray Yarbrough. Later in life, she worked on the production line at Dunson Mill in LaGrange and retired from there.  Mrs. Yarbrough was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and wife and was a devoted Christian.  She cared deeply for all animals but had a special place in her heart for cats.  Mrs. Yarbrough was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Yarbrough; her stepfather, Bill Clack; and a sister, Toni Dean.
